Overview

This district is affected by two of the three components of the project including the construction of 1 new transmission tower, and a new substation north of the existing substation at Whakamaru.

Landscape planting to help reduce the visual effect of the transmission line and substation will also be undertaken. We will be working closely with the local community to ensure that any disruption from our construction activity is kept to a minimum.
