Overview

This district has all three components of the project including the construction of 33 new transmission towers, two new substations (Brownhill and Pakuranga) and four new underground cable circuits. The overhead transmission line connects to the new Brownhill Road substation. Four underground cable circuits will run from this new switching station - the first two circuits will connect to Pakuranga substation, and the second two circuits will connect to Otahuhu substation at a later date (around 2020 or later), as demand increases. We will be working closely with the local community to ensure that any disruption from our construction activity is kept to a minimum.
