Blenheim New Supply Transformer

What we're doing

Transpower is carrying out a project to install a new 60 MVA supply transformer at Blenheim substation.

Why we're doing it

Forecast demand at the Blenheim substation is expected to exceed the n-1 capacity of the existing transformers in the near future.  The customer (Marlborough Lines) has requested a new transformer to accommodate this increased demand.
